Introducing BANIN

BANIN is a product and engineering company. We build a small number of products, each taking a frontier capability all the way to something a person can use in real work — not a demo on a stage, but a deliverable in someone’s hands.

That sentence is easy to write and hard to live by. Most of the interesting technology of the last few years stops one step short of being a product: it impresses, then leaves the last mile — the file format, the tolerance, the edge case, the reliability — to someone else. We think the last mile is the product.

Every product, one standard

PatternAI is our AI studio for fashion. It designs patterns and prints and then exports them as production-ready files for the machines that actually make garments — embroidery, print, weave, knit, quilt, and more — alongside on-model photoshoots and video. One design, every machine.

Terramind is our second product, in active research. It computes engineering from first principles and grades every answer by the evidence behind it, up to physical test. It’s the hardest thing we know how to attempt, and we’re building it in the open, with its limits stated plainly.

Building in the open

We’ll use this space to show our work — what we shipped, what we learned, and where we were wrong. Not launch theatre; the actual texture of building products that people depend on.
